My mom named me that. And, despite her worries, I love it!
I currently live in Portland, Oregon. I graduated from the University of Washington in August with a BA in Interdisciplinary Visual Arts with a photomedia emphasis.
I grew up in the rural town of Raymond, Washington. I love warming myself next to a wood stove, getting muddy, the exhilaration of a quad ride, trying new foods, finding places to explore, hiking, and (I never thought I would say this) a mug of hot black coffee (I am a no creamer kind of gal). I live in Portland after all! Mostly though, I love Jesus, who is the one who has made all of our beautiful lives possible.
Through my photography, I try to interpret the simple beauties and delicate moments as well as the more complex and intricate moments of life. I think, overall, my images reflect my love of the richness of life and of the people I encounter.
No matter where I am, I have learned that I absolutely LOVE meeting and getting to know people. There are so many kinds of people. I am always excited wondering who I will intersect with next. I consider myself blessed that I am able to meet, and photograph, such a wide variety of people. If you like my work and would like to meet with me, you can be one of the next people I am excited to get to know!
